Why do you think T.S. Eliot is such a major impact on gaming, or at least the type of gaming I do. I can't count how many campaigns I've seen which have been retellings or commentaries on The Wasteland.

And now I'm pondering Gerontion which has quite a bit interesting to say on the subejct of a spy game, or at least the state of mind I'm contemplating.

Think / Neither fear nor courage saves us. Unnatural vices /
Are fathered by our heroism. Virtues /
Are forced upon us by our impudent crimes.

Been thinking the best mechanics for spy games tonight.

Lets start with the ones intended for spy games:

SpyCraft: Its D20, enough said, its just not an option.

James Bond 007: Theres a lot of positive things to say about this old gem, but frankly its too complicated and a tad too cinematic for my tastes right now.

Top Secret, in any of its incarnations just never thrilled me, plus there were charts, I don't think I want charts.

Conspiracy X: Could work, but it has a learning curve thats rather steep, and I don't own the book that has all the British stuff in it so it would require me getting that.

Games that support spy-type games:

GURPS: No more GURPS, ever.

Delta Green: I don't like the all or nother style of BRP. Plus, too much Cthulu.

Adventure! is just too big and pulpy.

What am I forgetting? Is this it for spy games?
